Phew what a week! We’ve had over 1100 visitors through the doors over our two open days and been visited by the lovely people at GMP Traffic, Domestic Abuse Unit & GMP Pride network. Handcuffs are now back in stock, and we’ve replenished a store of Hello Kitty PCs as well so hopefully (fingers crossed) we won’t run out by the end of the holidays.
We’ve had three different types of car here including the fabulous Rainbow car. In addition to this we are running a little competition to coincide with Manchester Poetry Prize. We’d like you to submit your poems inspired by the museum to katie.brown@gmp.police.uk until the 29 August and we will post the best ones on our website. This is open to all ages and abilities so don’t be shy.
There’s still two weeks left of the school holidays so if you haven’t joined us yet, you still have four more chances. Next week we have the Mounted, Traffic and Canine Units coming to visit – so don’t miss out.
As usual we’d like to thank all our special guests for coming to visit us, but don’t forget it’s our volunteers who make us this possible – so a big thank you to them as well.
