Roger John Dunkerley

Died on 22nd June 1965

Constable Dunkerley was on motor cycle patrol, on Manchester Road Droylsden, and was believed to be in pursuit of a motor vehicle, when his own vehicle collided with a car. The officer did not regain consciousness so this could not be verified. The injuries he sustained subsequently proved to be fatal.

He was 24.
