Dennis Williams

Died on 9th April 1975

Sergeant Williams, together with other officers, was on crowd control duty outside the Granada Studios in Quay Street, Manchester. Suddenly the crowd surged forward into the road, and Sergeant Williams was knocked backwards onto the ground, where several people fell on top of him. Sergeant Williams was taken to hospital where he was dead on arrival. He had suffered a fatal heart attack.

He was 41.
