I cannot tell you how excited we are that Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue have agreed to visit us during May half term! After a chat with their very lovely Community Officer, Sue, we have agreed to theme our half term around the different equipment they can bring. As much as we love getting in GMP units to show you, it’s always nice to have variety!
So far we have the children’s fire engine confirmed, but we are also looking at getting a full size engine into the yard (space permitting).
It is important to us that our visitors know that all emergency services are part of a wider family, working together to keep people safe. We hope this open day will help show that and that people will have a fun day out while learning a bit more about the important work the Fire Service does.
We hope you can make it! 26 & 28th May, 10.30 – 15.30, free admission.
