On the 27 January 1945 Soviet soldiers liberated the largest Nazi death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau. Today we remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust and subsequent genocides around the world; Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
Today is a chance to pause and reflect on the events of the past and think what we can do to commit to a better future. It is down to us all as individuals to speak out against the hatred, racism and discrimination which breeds through fear and divides communities. By respecting each other’s differences through our words and actions we can all contribute towards a better future. #WeStandTogether
